In Gironde, where the Landiras fire continues to rage, the threat of dry thunderstorms raised fears of the worst for the night of Saturday and Sunday.
“The storms that are announced to us are dry storms, that is to say without rain, with lightning that will fall to the ground.
It's not a good thing, ”warned the prefect of Gironde, Fabienne Buccio, on Saturday.
Good news this Sunday morning: the violent atmospheric disturbances did not ultimately affect the area of the fire and the rain allowed a lull.
