Former goalkeeper Stéphane Ruffier will now defend himself before the industrial tribunal.
In front of him, he will not have a striker but his former club and employer, AS Saint-Etienne.
The former international (3 selections), after the failure of a first attempt at conciliation initiated by the club, decided to seek compensation up to € 5 million.
The file is on the desk of the lawyer of the former Stéphanois Me Dorothée Bisaccia-Bernstein.
But it should not be argued before, at best, the first half of 2022. For a verdict that should not fall before 2023.
L '# ASSE has decided to terminate Stéphane Ruffier's contract.
The #ASSE regrets having come to this decision, made ineluctable by the attitude of the player who undermined the institution.

In charge of the young goalkeepers of Aviron Bayonnais this season, Stéphane Ruffier (35) ended his career following his dismissal for serious misconduct on January 4.
The latter arrived six months before the end of his CDD in favor of ASSE.
In his complaint, the Basque explains that he is asking for this sum because of the damage to the rest of his career.
This is beyond the forecasts of the treasurer of the Greens who were counting on a demand around 2M €, which is what the player should have received until the end of his contract.
As a reminder, Ruffier was before his sidelining the biggest salary of the Greens, with around € 2.8 million annually.
He had been removed from Claude Puel's professional group for "act of insubordination".
