Ligue 2: a new striker expected at Paris FC to replace injured Diaby Fadiga

Lamine Diaby Fadiga will be operated on Thursday and is expected to be absent for several months. The current 2nd in L2 is therefore looking for a new attack

It was not necessarily expected.

But Paris FC, current 2nd in Ligue 2, should be active by the end of the transfer window, Monday, October 5 (at midnight).

The leaders set out on the trail of a new attacker.

The medical verdict concerning the injury to a thigh of Lamine Diaby Fadiga, who relapsed and came out barely ten minutes after coming into play against Nancy on September 19 (2-0 defeat), has indeed fallen.

And he is heavy ... The 19-year-old striker could indeed be absent from the field for several months, at least until the truce.

A blow for Diaby Fadiga who had also left the field in tears after his tear.

After a first year at Paris FC already disturbed by injuries and a head trauma, this season was to be the one of take-off for the U18 international.

Author of a good preparation (3 goals), the former Aiglon of OGC Nice who had hit the headlines because of the incredible affair of the theft of his teammate Dolberg's watch, was therefore stopped in his tracks.

He will be operated on this Thursday.

In search of real added value

Paris FC now only has two axial attackers, Gaëtan Laura (2 goals) and the young Patrick Koffi (18) even if Morgan Guilavogui helped out as a center forward on Saturday in Niort (2-2).

A bit tight in his quest for the top of the table in case of new problems with offensive players.

The current 2nd place and the stated ambitions make the Paris FC destination quite attractive.

But Parisian leaders are looking for a player capable of bringing real added value to an already competitive workforce.

Not necessarily easy at this time of year.

Rather than a free player to restore to physical level, Paris FC should move towards an element in need of playing time in its current club, but quickly competitive.

The arrival of a new striker should not be the only movement between now and the end of the transfer window.

A player could indeed be released.
