At about 7pm today (19th), the police received a report stating that a dolphin was stranded in Ting Kau Bay and still survived.

The police then notified the cetacean stranding operations team of Ocean Park to follow up on the scene, and then the operations team took them to the Ocean Park for inspection.

The Hong Kong Government Life Saving Workers General Union posted on Facebook that the lifeguards found a large fish about 1 meter in length hovering outside the shark prevention net. It ran aground at Ting Kau Bay shortly afterwards. After going forward and investigating, it was discovered that it was A little gray dolphin.

The lifeguard tried many times to put the baby dolphin back into the sea, but it seemed to be lost, rushed and rammed, and ran aground again. Worried that the dolphin would be unable to survive, he called the police for help.

The four lifeguards also worked overtime to stay at the beach, standing in the water in a circle to surround the dolphins, to prevent it from being injured or stranded, waiting for Ocean Park experts to come and deal with it.

In the end, the lifeguard stood in the water for about 2 hours. At about 9 o'clock in the evening, the expert finally arrived at the scene to assist.
