Should FC Bayern and Sadio Mané be worried?

The Daily Mail from England issues a warning after the Liverpool farewell.

Munich/Liverpool – FC Bayern is enthusiastic about their new superstar Sadio Mané.

Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic was mischievously happy about the transfer coup.

The fans are also over the moon and congratulated on the newcomer.

Of course, where there are winners, there are always losers.

In this case it is Liverpool FC.

The Reds would have loved to keep Mané.

Trainer Jürgen Klopp chose emotional parting words.

The grief in Liverpool turned to anger in one or the other.

LFC legend Dean Saunders etched: "Mané will sit in his armchair, light a cigar, play third gear for Bayern and ruin the best two years of his life as a footballer for two years." The English newspaper

Daily Mail

sent Mané to his Farewell and a warning afterwards.

Sadio Mane

Transfer fee: 31 million euros

Contract with FC Bayern until: June 30, 2025

FC Bayern: Liverpool curse?

England newspaper warns Mané

The British tabloid has been digging a little in the past.

The result should please neither Mané nor Bayern Munich.

The

Daily Mail

names three top stars who have left Liverpool in recent years and tried their luck abroad - without success.

Coincidence or Liverpool curse?

Philippe Coutinho should still be fondly remembered by all Bayern fans.

The Brazilian was FC Bayern's last superstar transfer three years ago, and then, as is well known, the corona pandemic came.

The 30-year-old was loaned out by FC Barcelona for 8.5 million euros.

In Munich, however, the attacking midfielder was not happy despite eleven goals and nine assists in 38 games including the victory in the Champions League.

A little retrospect: Coutinho left Liverpool FC in January 2018. He was considered the best Premier League player at the time and moved to Barcelona for 135 million euros.

It was at Lionel Messi's side that his star began to decline.

Coutinho is now playing again in England, but with middle-class club Aston Villa.

Barca took the €20m transfer fee with a kiss.

Coutinho, Emre Can and Wijnaldum unhappy after Liverpool farewell

However, Coutinho is not the only example who became unhappy after a Liverpool departure.

The same happened to many others, including BVB star Emre Can.

The Germany international has had a difficult time following his free transfer to Juventus.

Only in Dortmund, which put 25 million on the table two years ago, did Can get back on track.

Georginio Wijnaldum made a free transfer from Liverpool to Paris St. Germain last summer.

However, the midfielder from Holland never really felt at home in the star ensemble from the Seine and was unable to perform at his best.

The receipt: Wijnaldum was voted flop of the year in Ligue 1

FC Bayern and Mané: There is much to be said for a success story

However, it seems very unlikely that Mané will suffer a fate similar to that of his predecessors at Bayern Munich.

This is due to the two partners who appear to be made for each other.

Bayern and Mané were sure immediately after the first meeting: Yes, that fits!

Mané has hit double digits every season in his professional career.

But the offensive star also impresses with his human qualities and is a real team player.

The Senegalese even surprised with the first Bavarian attempts.
