The technology giant has announced new features that will help you plan your next trip abroad - and also save quite a bit of money. In addition, you can discover new sites and mark points of interest you will want to forget

Despite the low-cost trend and the shift to online booking, flights are not a cheap thing - especially at the height of the tourist season that is just around the corner.
Now, in the midst of the summer vacation and holiday planning period, Google is launching new features in search of flights and hotels.

Keep track of flight prices on a variety of dates
In Google Flights, Google's flight search engine, it was always possible to track flight prices for a specific date.
You can now create a price change alert for up to six months.
How will you receive alerts?
Search for a flight in the search engine and click on "Price Tracking".
Find nearby destinations that are suitable for road trips
The Explore feature allows everyone to search for different destinations around the world with the help of search filters like budget or trip duration.
Now, it will also display a pink tab with the caption 'Explore Nearby'.
Tap this tab to narrow your search to places you can travel to in just a few hours, and select any destination to see useful information including average hotel prices in the area or what weather is expected.
If you decide to go for it, there are many ways Google Maps can help.

Find the perfect location to stay
You can search for hotels on Google or use google.com/travel directly.
Traveling to a new city?
Choosing the neighborhood where you will stay can be a deciding factor.
With new points of interest on the map, you can quickly see which areas have the most restaurants, shopping or tours.
For more popular destinations, you can also tap on 'Where to stay' below the search filters, for a useful guide to the neighborhood.
On some trips, you may want easy access to a specific waypoint or address.
You can enter this location in the search bar of the hotel or of the holiday apartments, and you will have the option to view hotels within a 15-30 minute walk or drive.
This is a particularly useful function when planning to attend an event, such as a wedding or conference, and want to stay nearby.
Stay organized all the way
For those planning and dreaming of a vacation, we have introduced a new way to keep track of places that interest you so you can continue planning your trip exactly from where you left off.
Just click on the bookmark icon in each hotel or vacation rental, and it will be saved for you to browse below.
To see your saved properties, look for the tab and save on your mobile or in the left pane of your desktop.
