Tiktukno - summary of today's events, 23.9 (Sport1)
Maccabi Tel Aviv continues its preparation for the season tonight (Friday) and at this time meets Olympia Milan in the semifinals of the Yanakopoulos tournament in Greece.
With all due respect to the Paris tournament, to which the team appeared with a particularly lacking squad, or to the victory over Promethas, the performances this weekend in Athens are already a serious test of tools for the opening of the Euroleague in about two weeks.
Lorenzo Braun remains in Israel, and will not step on the floor before the semi-finals of the Winner Cup.
The opponent, coached by Ettore Messina (along with his assistant Dan Shamir), is considered one of the strongest teams on the continent, and during the summer added eight new players - led by Kevin Pangos, Deshaun Thomas, Billy Baron, Brandon Davis and Johannes Puigtman.
These join Niccolò Melli, Gigi Datuma, Kyle Haynes and others, in an exceptionally deep and talented roster.
The course of the game:
1st quarter
Maccabi started with a five with Wade Baldwin, Austin Hollins, Alex Poythers, Bonzie Colson and Jeral Martin.
Poithers started the game well and with a basket and a foul put the yellows ahead 2:8 early.
Continue the preparation.
