Maccabi Tel Aviv in basketball will hold a practice match against Olympiakos on September 20.

The meeting will take place at the Hall of Peace and Brotherhood in Piraeus, home of the Red-Whites, in preparation for the opening of the 2022/23 playing season.

Last season, Olympiakos was one of the best teams in the Euroleague and was only stopped in the semi-finals of the Final Four against who finished in first place, Anadolu Efes.

This summer, Yorgos Barzoukas' team added Kazan guard Isiah Canaan, CSKA Moscow center Joel Bolomboi, Baskonia forward Alec Peters and Tarik Black, who played for the yellows in the past.

Tyler Dorsey left the red-whites for Dallas, but in the ranks of the Greeks you can still find Kostas Sloukas, Sasha Wezenkov, Thomas Walkup, Shaquille McKissick, Kostas Papanikolaou and the giant center Mustafa Pall.

The team will host Menorah Hall as part of the Euroleague season in the ninth round and will host Maccabi in the 21st round.

Maccabi's renewed squad will play two games earlier in the tournament in France, one against Villerban and the other against the host Paris.

After the match against Olympiakos, the Yellows will play two games in Athens as part of the Yanakopoulos tournament, in which Milan, Anadolu Eps and the host Panathinaikos will also take part.
