Made-to-measure creams, a new profession for Boiron

The French company is continuing its diversification to counter the effects of the delisting of homeopathy.


Boiron continues to seek solutions to the reimbursement of homeopathy, which came into force a year ago.

The company is launching into personalized cosmetics through the acquisition for 1.7 million euros of a Lyon-based start-up, Abbi, which combines beauty and artificial intelligence.

Based on a selfie, this company establishes a diagnosis of the skin (hydration, effect of age, etc.) and offers a personalized cream, delivered 48 hours later to your home.

Prices range from 79 to 99 euros.

Boiron plans to install connected mirrors in pharmacies and parapharmacies within three months in order to offer this service, designed using algorithms, to as many people as possible.

"Abbi shares the same DNA as Boiron, which offers 'treatment without harm'",

says Valérie Lorentz-Poinsot, boss of the company.

With this acquisition, the first in Boiron's history outside of homeopathy, the company is surfing on a buoyant trend, personalized cosmetics.
