The Queen of Pop revealed a new tattoo with the word "Vishkahu" written on it • To her daughter she explained that it was the Hebrew word for a kiss "• But the meaning of the word in the Torah reveals a particularly funny irony •

Let everyone kiss her:

Days after causing a storm on the net with a series of particularly provocative photos, Madonna connects to her righteousness and renews herself with a new tattoo with an affinity for religion in honor of Hanukkah.

The Queen of Pop documented herself yesterday (Sunday) at the Tattoo Institute with the word "Vishkahu" tattooed live on her wrist.

In the video, she explained to her daughter that the word means a kiss in Hebrew.

But Madonna probably does not know how problematic her interpretation of a tattoo is.

The word "Vishkahu" comes from a verse in the book of Genesis.

When our ancestor Jacob leaves Haran he is afraid of meeting his brother Esau and therefore splits his camp in two.

When the two meet, it is written, "And he ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him, and wept."

The bitter enemies were revealed in the moment of truth as friends?

Not necessarily.

There is a tremendous irony in the word that is now tattooed on Madonna's hand, because the meaning of the words, as it appears in the Midrash, is one of the most familiar phrases in Judaism "Esau hates Jacob" - that Esau did not really kiss him wholeheartedly.

The phrase "Esau hates Jacob" is a proverb which means that the nations will forever hate Israel.

"This is a complement to the trio of tattoos I already have," she explained to her 17 million followers in an Instagram video she shared with them in honor of the first Hanukkah candle.

"Life is a journey to remove the space between us and humanity" she added a philosophical and not entirely clear caption below the video and signed on a happy Hanukkah holiday before taking the tattoo needle into her hands and trying to tattoo her tattoo.

Madonna was not the only Slavic from the Diaspora to connect with the holiday spirit and seek to spread light and love in honor of Hanukkah.

Among the celebs who shared with their millions of followers holiday greetings were Scott Disick, the divorcee of Courtney Kardashian who shared a picture of plates with shaped donuts and spinning tops, actress Joey King ("The Kissing Stand") who uploaded a photo of a menorah with a holiday greeting and actress Lali Esposito ("Little Ones" and "The Rebels") who thought it would be fun to share with her followers a video in which she and her friends are seen enthusiastically singing exactly what has changed instead of the Hanukkah hymns.
