Man murders wife and alleged lover: Suspect confesses the act - but not the motive

A man stands before the Nuremberg district court who is said to have killed his wife and her alleged lover.

Eleven days of negotiations are scheduled.

Nuremberg - Two people had to die because a jealous husband thought they were lovers.

The trial of a 67-year-old who is said to have murdered his separated wife and a mutual acquaintance about a year ago took place before the Nuremberg * district court on Monday.

Now the 67-year-old has confessed to the fatal shots.

As a justice spokesman announced, the defendant commented on his defense attorney.

Murder case before the Nuremberg district court: man suspected a love affair with his wife

According to the public prosecutor's office, the taxi driver who immigrated from Turkey * in the 1970s incorrectly suspected that the two victims were in love. The defendant was convinced that his wife should not have a new relationship because otherwise she would dishonor him and their two sons, according to the indictment. So he decided to kill his wife and her supposed lover.

On November 21, 2020, he is said to have got into the friend's taxi and drove with him to the woman's house.

There he called her so that she could also get into the taxi.

Then it should have come to an argument.

When the woman went back to the house, according to the indictment, he shot her from behind on the street.

He is said to have turned around and killed the friend in the driver's seat of the taxi.

The defendant confirmed this process through his defense lawyer, but the public prosecutor disagreed with the motive.

He asked the acquaintance and his wife for an interview because he was concerned that the acquaintance would take out his wife financially.

This led to an argument in which his wife fell in the back, he had his defense attorney explain.

It made him so angry that he picked up the gun.

Several testimonies are planned for the coming Monday (December 6th).

The process is set with ten further negotiation dates until January 11th.
