The trial of a 67-year-old who is said to have murdered his separated wife and a mutual acquaintance about a year ago took place before the Nuremberg * district court on Monday.

Now the 67-year-old has confessed to the fatal shots.

As a justice spokesman announced, the defendant commented on his defense attorney.

According to the public prosecutor's office, the taxi driver who immigrated from Turkey * in the 1970s incorrectly suspected that the two victims were in love. The defendant was convinced that his wife should not have a new relationship because otherwise she would dishonor him and their two sons, according to the indictment. So he decided to kill his wife and her supposed lover.

On November 21, 2020, he is said to have got into the friend's taxi and drove with him to the woman's house.

When the woman went back to the house, according to the indictment, he shot her from behind on the street.

This led to an argument in which his wife fell in the back, he had his defense attorney explain.

It made him so angry that he picked up the gun.


Several testimonies are planned for the coming Monday (December 6th).

The process is set with ten further negotiation dates until January 11th.
