In recent days, the news of Manchester United has focused on the standoff between the supporters and the management of the club.

The last episode of this endemic conflict resulted, this Sunday, by the invasion of Old Trafford, synonymous with the postponement of the Premier League poster against Liverpool.

On the sidelines of these events, the French trailer for "Sir Alex Ferguson: the impossible dream", a documentary devoted to the career of the former manager from Le Mans between 1986 and 1993, was unveiled on Wednesday.

It will be available in France on VOD platforms from May 31.

Directed by one of his sons, Jason, this film chronicles the intimate journey of the septuagenarian (79) from his working-class origins in Glasgow to his career as a successful football coach.

Many chapters are discussed including the cerebral hemorrhage he suffered in 2018.

Under Ferguson's leadership, Manchester United have won an impressive number of trophies, including thirteen Premier League, five FA Cups and two Champions League in 1999 and 2008. The documentary features candid talks with Sir Alex himself, Cathy, his married for 55 years, his three sons, as well as former colleagues and charismatic players like Eric Cantona and Gordon Strachan.
