The permanent representative of Palestine to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, affirmed that the silence of the international community and its failure to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its crimes has exacerbated the suffering of the Palestinian people.
Mansour explained, according to Wafa Agency, that the occupation authorities have escalated their terrorism and aggression against the Palestinians and continue to violate international law in full view of the whole world, pointing to the death of the elderly Omar Asaad, 80, as a result of the beating of the occupation forces on him, in addition to the serious injury of the elderly Suleiman Al-Hathlin, 75, who fell into a coma. A few days ago, he was run over by an Israeli settler and dragged his body several meters.
Mansour indicated that Palestinian prisoners are subjected to various types of physical and psychological torture in the occupation's prisons, in addition to deliberate medical neglect, which threatens their lives, calling on the international community to intervene urgently to protect the Palestinians, implement its relevant decisions and end the occupation.
