Inflexible witnesses on their statements who remained braced on their version facing the Assize Court of Haute-Garonne.

To shed light on the disappearance of Martine Escadeillas, a 24-year-old secretary who disappeared on December 8, 1986 from her building in Ramonville, near Toulouse, the jurors heard at length, this Monday, July 4, the neighbor of the victim, on which the gendarmes' investigation relied in this 36-year-old file.

On the day of the events, this doctor, who lived one floor above the young woman's apartment, told the gendarmes of the research section that she had heard screams around 8:15 a.m., having come out on the landing where she saw, leaning over the stairs, a man crouched over a woman, of whom she could only see the legs.
