Actor Matthew McConaughey revealed in a video for People magazine how he met his wife Camila: "I was always looking for a partner, a best friend, a soul mate. But only when I was okay with being alone then she appeared. "

McConaughey saw her in a club.

She floated past him from right to left.

And he didn't ask: "Who is that?", But rather "What is that?"

He then introduced himself and the two talked.

"We've been together ever since."

McConaughey also shared how he looked at older men as a young boy.

He always had respect for them and then he realized that as a man you only made it in life when you became a father.

"When you've done that, you're really successful in life."

But when he became a father himself, he realized that he hadn't even made it.

Now the real work is just starting.

"There is nothing more important than being a father".

It's hard work, but that's the only way to become immortal.

Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves McConaughey have three children together: daughter Vida and sons Levi and Livingston.

McConaughey, who most recently directed the thriller "Im Netz der Temptung" and the comedy "Beach Bum", won the Oscar for Best Actor in 2014 for the AIDS drama "Dallas Buyers Club".
