During their tour in Al-Nashabiya area, Minister Abdullah and Governor Abu Al-Nasr Jamran learned about the reality of work in the carpet manufacturing unit in the village of Al-Ubada, which was destroyed as a result of terrorist attacks, with the aim of rehabilitating it as quickly as possible and resuming its production. In a statement to reporters, Minister Abdullah confirmed that these visits coincide with the Syrian Family Days campaign, which was launched last March with the aim of strengthening and deepening the actions that would raise the level of rural development, stressing that the Ministry is moving forward in rehabilitating these centers in various governorates as it is an important base for supporting communities in the countryside. Governor Abu Al-Nasr Jamran indicated in a similar statement that the governorate will do its utmost to rehabilitate the carpet production units deployed in the countryside of Damascus as they achieve great economic value in addition to supporting rural development centers, pointing out that the Harran Al-Awamid Center

Its rehabilitation has been completed and work is now underway to equip it with the necessary supplies, as the center is training the people on a set of crafts, including “housekeeping, sewing, carpentry, blacksmithing, agriculture and health,” pointing out that the governorate will pave and equip the road to the Harran al-Awamid school and secure the necessary services for it and transfer the surrounding rubble. The rural development centers spread in the Damascus countryside are considered a point of life for the people, according to the statement of the Director of Rural Development at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, Bahaa El-Khoury, pointing out that there are 29 development centers in Syria, 9 of which have been rehabilitated and put into service, and the ministry is seeking to increase its number to 14 centers by the end of this year .
