Meet 5 attractions to celebrate 50 years of Disney

- Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, turns 50 and visitors will soon be able to enjoy countless surprises designed to celebrate 50 years of the complex, inaugurated on October 1, 1971.

In Zona Pop CNN we spoke with the imagineer Andrés Ovalles about the new attractions and the changes that will take place in the four amusement parks.

For now, we present the five attractions that you cannot miss for 50 years of Disney World.

Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway

Mickey Mouse rose to fame in 1928 with the short film "Steamboat Willie," but he had never had an attraction in any of the parks around the world.

The Chinese Theater, located at Disney's Hollywood Studios, will be the home of Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, an attraction in which the whole family will visit several animated short films of Mickey Mouse cartoons.

Magic Kingdom's internal transportation system is made up of buses, boats, and the traditional, futuristic monorail.

For this anniversary, a transportation system by gondolas or cable car made up of 300 flying cabins is added.

Guests will discover panoramic views from Disney's Hollywood Studios to Epcot.

Remy's Ratatouille Adventure

Guests will shrink down to Chef Remy's size and race through Gusteau's restaurant on a wild adventure.

An immersive attraction where the tour includes going under the main stove, staying in the freezer for a few seconds and breathing in endless aromas and dishes.

Harmonius

This evening entertainment will be one of the largest and most spectacular that any Disney park has ever seen.

According to Andrés Ovalles, "Harmonius will celebrate the way that Disney music inspires people around the world, bringing them harmoniously in a torrent of familiar songs."

"Harmonious" will include massive floating pieces, custom-made LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, lights, pyrotechnics, lasers and more.

It can be seen in the lagoon at the World Showcase at Epcot.

Transformation of the icons of each park

For this celebration, the 4 icons of the parks will be the main attraction.

Cinderella's Castle at Magic Kingdom, Tree of Life at Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Tower Hotel at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Spaceship Earth at Epcot will be the biggest attractions in each park.

According to the official page of Magic Kingdom: "They will transform into symbols of magic."

What does this mean?

That, each one in their own style, will have a display of lights and decoration very much in the Disney way.
