2022-01-25T18:46:06.312Z

Lamine Gueye, 23-year-old Senegalese striker, was loaned by Metz (L1) to Paris FC on Tuesday. He had already signed in the club of the capital

Paris FC has its offensive rookie.

He is a player who had already worn the Parisian jersey… but only for a few days in October 2020. This time, it is the right one for Lamine Gueye who was loaned by Metz (L1) without an option to buy.

After posing for the traditional presentation photo, doing some training at Orly, the Senegalese had to return to Metz (L1).

His contract had not been approved by the LFP for administrative reasons.

The two clubs had indeed learned that Metz did not have the right to loan a foreign player twice in a row to a French club.

Revealed in Pau (24 goals in 53 National games) Gueye therefore returned to Metz where he made his L1 debut (41 games, 3 goals, 6 assists) 15 months ago.

14 appearances in L1 this season

Since the start of this season, he has been used less by Frédéric Antonetti (14 games, 3 assists).

Gueye, 23, can play on the side and in the axis.

He arrived this Tuesday noon in Paris and could start Friday in Dunkirk in a late match for the 20th day of L2.

At Paris FC, Gueye trained at Génération Foot, the Senegalese club partner of Metz, will find his friend Moustapha Name, who qualified yesterday (He remained on the bench) for the quarter-finals of the CAN with Senegal against in Cape Verde (2-0)

“I am very happy to join Paris FC.

This could not be done last year, and now I am very happy to sign here.

I am an ambitious person and the Paris FC project is very interesting.

I want to do everything to achieve the club's objectives and help the team move up to Ligue 1. I intend to bring my qualities and my experience acquired during my matches in L1″ he declared on the club's website.

With the arrival of Gueye and after that of Jonathan Iglesias (Clermont, L1), the transfer window of Paris FC is, a priori, over, except opportunity.

But there could be departures like Gaëtan Laura who could have already gone to Vicenza (Series B Italy).

But Paris FC refused.

Other little-used players like Saïd Arab are still likely to be loaned out.

This will not be the case for Lamine Diaby Fadiga, injured with the reserve (N3) on Saturday.

He still needs to see a doctor but his season is certainly over.
