A journalist was "
murdered
" on Sunday January 23 in Tijuana, the second murder of a media professional in a week in this city in northwestern Mexico on the border with the United States, the regional prosecutor's office said.
Lourdes Maldonado Lopez was killed after being “
attacked with a firearm while in a vehicle
,” the Baja California state attorney general said.
She had won a lawsuit a few days ago against her ex-employer, a television company owned by a former governor of Baja California.
Another journalist, a photojournalist, was killed last Monday in Tijuana.
