Mexico exceeds 200,000 deaths from covid-19 0:40

The government of Mexico published a report that reveals that its death toll from covid-19 exceeds 321,000, instead of the total of 201,429 deaths reported as of Saturday, 60% more than the officially reported number.
From the start of the pandemic until February 14, 2021, there were 294,287 deaths from covid-19, according to the new report.
Since then, from February 15 to Saturday, there have been 27,223 additional deaths from covid-19 according to a CNN analysis of data from the Health Ministry.

For a total of more than 321,000 deaths from covid-19, these figures reflect that the number of deaths from this disease in the country is almost 60% more than the official number.

According to the report, the excess of deaths is 471,002 since the beginning of the pandemic and 70.6% of them are related to covid-19.
The excess deaths is determined by the number of deaths observed compared to the number of deaths expected based on previous data.

According to the data in this report, the number of deaths in Mexico would be higher than that of Brazil and would put the country in second place, after the United States.
