Several people were killed and dozens more injured when a metro bridge collapsed in Mexico City.
The news agencies Reuters and AFP report, citing official information, of at least 13 dead and around 70 injured.
Mexican media released images from surveillance cameras that showed the bridge collapsed as a train passed over it.
The bridge collapsed when a metro train was on the structure, several subway wagons fell several meters in the accident on Monday evening (local time) and collided with each other.
This is evident from video images that were shared on social media.
Cars were driving under the bridge, but it is unclear whether and if so how many of them were buried in the collapse.
Rescue workers took passengers out of the hanging wagons with a ladder.
Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum announced that she was on her way to the location of the incident at Olivos train station on the southeastern edge of the metropolis.
Part of the bridge gave way.
Many passers-by also gathered at the scene of the accident.
