The American computer giant Microsoft announced Monday the acquisition of its compatriot Nuance Communications, specializing in artificial intelligence, for an amount of 19.7 billion dollars, debt included.

The price of the operation, funded entirely in cash, was set at $ 56 per share of Nuance Communications, a 23% premium on the closing price on Friday, Microsoft said in a statement.
