TSV 1860 Munich is already beaten in the fight for promotion relegation, since 1. FC Kaiserslautern loses at home against Borussia Dortmund II. Which is now the advantage of the lions.

Munich – Both clubs were founding members of the Bundesliga.

The fans of both clubs share a deep friendship.

In football Germany they stand for tradition, for dedication and for identification.

It doesn't matter in which class.

And so both the supporters of TSV 1860 Munich fill their longing place Grünwalder Stadion and the fans of 1. FC Kaiserslautern their iconic “Betzenberg” to this day.

Although both teams only play in the 3rd division.

3rd league: After a blunder from Kaiserslautern - minimal chance of TSV 1860 to be relegated

In this they fought for promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga, before the six-year-olds lost a bitter 2:3 against VfL Osnabrück and finished 4th in the table.

were supposedly knocked off.

"A furious 6-0 (

at MSV Duisburg, ed

.) catapulted us to fourth place.

We don't just want to hold this place, we want to keep attacking.

The main thing is that we get the maximum number of points.

In the end we could get 64 points – that would of course be great,” said Löwen coach Michael Köllner before TSV 1860’s 3-0 (0-0) win against Havelse this Saturday (April 30).

But: Would there be even more with those 64 points?

Because: Lautern, before table 2.

and now third, lost 1:3 (0:1) at home against Borussia Dortmund II.

IPPEN.MEDIA

explains the ultimate lion's calculation that there could still be something with the relegation two games before the end of the season - even if the chance is certainly small.

Will TSV 1860 Munich go into relegation?

Kaiserslautern would have to go wrong again

  • 3rd league, 37th of 38 matchdays:

  • Starting position: 3rd place - 1. FC Kaiserslautern (63 points, 35 games), 4th place - TSV 1860 Munich (58 points, 34 games)

  • Saturday, May 7, 2 p.m.: TSV 1860 needs a win at leaders and promoted team 1. FC Magdeburg, who lost 2-1 to Eintracht Braunschweig (2nd) at the weekend.

  • Sunday, May 8, 2 p.m.: 1. FC Kaiserslautern would have to lose to Viktoria Köln, who are still fighting relegation and absolutely need a win.

In a draw, even with a sixty win, everything would speak for the Palatinate, since 1. FCK (+31) has a significantly better goal difference than Giesinger (+18).

If Kaiserslautern wins in Cologne, that would be the end of all dreams of promotion, no matter how quiet, on Giesing's heights.

But, if the Lauterer lose and the Sechzger win, then something for “Munich’s great love” would still work on the last day of the game.

Third division relegation: 1. FC Kaiserslautern or TSV 1860 Munich?

  • 3rd league, 38th of 38 matchdays:

  • Possible starting position: With 61 points, TSV 1860 Munich would only be two points behind 1. FC Kaiserslautern (63).

  • Saturday, May 14, 1.30 p.m .: Sixty would have to bring Grünwalder to the boil and win against Borussia Dortmund II, just like Löwen coach Köllner wanted.

Lautern has no play on the last day of the game after Türkgücü Munich withdrew, so it can no longer intervene in the fight for promotion.

1860 would have 64 points if they won, 1. FCK would have 63 points - and Giesinger would still be relegated.

Is it just wishful thinking in Munich?

Or is the Giesing miracle realistic?
