With the aim of increasing the number of Corona vaccine recipients and delivering it to the largest segment, mobile teams assigned by the Ministry of Health were launched today to immunize those wishing in government institutions such as ministries and central directorates, with coordination to expand their work to include private institutions, universities and laboratories.
This procedure comes, according to the Director of Primary Health Care at the Ministry of Health, Dr. Razan Al-Tarabishi, in parallel with the work to expand vaccination centers to reach 967 centers and hospitals, and to allocate 200 mobile teams in villages and areas where there are no health centers in various governorates.
In a statement to the SANA representative, Al-Tarabishi indicated that 4 mobile teams were allocated to visit the ministries and central directorates on a daily basis for a period ranging from 15 to 20 days, pointing to coordination with institutions, private universities, elderly homes and laboratories to send teams to them.
The person in charge of the mobile teams, Dr. Muhammad Akram Maatouk, explained that the teams will provide workers in the institutions to which they go information about the vaccine, its benefits and potential effects, and will evaluate the health status of each person before giving the vaccine.
SANA monitored the first rounds of teams in the Ministry of Local Administration and Environment, where Assistant Minister Moataz Dohji stressed the importance of immunizing workers to protect them, their families and their surroundings, especially since the nature of their work requires mixing with auditors, while Eng. Bashar Baya noted the presence of mobile teams as it facilitates obtaining the vaccine that guarantees the protection of workers from Injury and gives them a sense of safety, especially in this period where the number of injuries is increasing.
