The Quneitra Health Directorate, in cooperation with a number of charities and civil society, continues medical, awareness and educational activities within the activities of the National Campaign for the Early Detection of Breast Cancer.

The Director of Quneitra Health, Dr. Awad Al-Ali, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the activities included seminars and meetings to raise awareness of the importance of conducting early medical examinations, symptoms of the disease, causes of its spread, ways to prevent it, and how to conduct a self-examination of the breast, pointing out that the directorate has prepared all health centers to implement the activities accompanying the free campaign for early detection. Dr. Awad stressed the importance of spreading the awareness culture for early examinations, given the importance of this in detecting the disease and speeding up its treatment.

Dr. Sana Shaq, supervisor of the Breast Cancer Early Detection Program, explained that more than 3,200 women benefited from awareness campaigns, and tests were conducted for more than 1,000 women this month, and it was found that there were three cases of women with breast cancer, calling on women from 25 to 65 years of age to Breast self-examination and early detection of breast cancer.

Dr. Iman Youssef, head of the vaccination program in the Quneitra Health Directorate, indicated that the campaign program contributes to spreading awareness among women, pointing to the participation of the Directorate of Education in the campaign by educating secondary school students and encouraging them to conduct the necessary examination.
