With the participation of more than 100 local, Arab and foreign companies, the activities of the second Syrian International Exhibition for Plastic Industries (Syria Plast) and the Chemical Industries Exhibition (Kim Expo) were launched today, organized by the Mashhadani Group for Exhibitions and Conferences in cooperation with the Ministries of Industry and Economy, the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry and the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside over a period of four Days in the city of fairs in Damascus.

Assistant Minister of Industry, Dr. Jamal Al-Omar, said in a statement to the media that the exhibitors represent a message to the world that the Syrian industry is resilient and will remain despite all the difficulties and unilateral coercive Western measures imposed on Syria, pointing out that the ministry is ready to provide support to industrialists and communicate with other ministries in order to contribute to the service of the Syrian industry.

President of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce Muhammad Abu Al-Hoda Al-Lahham pointed to the importance of the two exhibitions in terms of the products in them and the Arab participations that come to enhance cooperation and joint trade exchange for the sake of market integration, considering that the exhibitions are an opportunity to introduce the Syrian goods and industry known for their quality and competitive prices.

The director of the company organizing the exhibitions (Khalaf Mashhadani) confirmed in a statement to the media that the exhibitions constitute an important opportunity to make agreements, understandings, partnerships and export contracts for Syrian products with hundreds of businessmen invited to the exhibitors, which will have a major impact on the level of the local Syrian industry and industry in the region as a whole, indicating that The plastic industries exhibition includes all types of household, agricultural and engineering plastic products, starting from the raw material to the final product, while the chemical industries fair includes all kinds of medical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, paints, raw materials and detergents products, in addition to the participation of some companies specialized in equipping laboratories and production lines in the plastic or chemical sector.

Alaa Al-Nouri, a member of the Board of Directors of the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce, said that 320 Iraqi entities between a businessman, companies, commercial establishments and investors participate in the two exhibitions based on the Iraqi side's keenness to participate in all Syrian economic and commercial activities, as there are many common factors that unite the two countries, including the geographical factor and the outlets. The border, which helps Iraqi traders to communicate in an easy way with their Syrian counterparts in the event of import, export or investment, in addition to the quality factor, as the Syrian industry is known at the level of the region and the Iraqi consumer is on the verge of it.

Nael Al-Kabariti, President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, confirmed that the visit of the Jordanian delegation to Damascus comes out of appreciation and respect for the Syrian industry, which is met with acceptance by the Jordanian consumer in addition to strengthening economic relations, increasing the volume of trade exchange between the two countries, raising the import value of Syrian goods to Jordan, and trying to reduce all obstacles facing the process. Trade exchange, indicating that the delegation consists of 35 businessmen who will visit the two exhibitions and factories during the next week.

The two exhibitions will continue until the fourth of this month, and they can be visited from three in the afternoon until nine in the evening, and transportation is secured to the exhibition city from under the bridge of Mr. President from two in the afternoon until eight in the evening.
