The Ambassador of the Donetsk People's Republic to Russia Olga Makeyeva announced that 55 percent of the citizens of the republic cast their votes on Russian soil in the referendum on joining Russia, during the past two days.
Today, in an interview with Soloviev Live, TASS news agency quoted Makeyeva as saying that about 236,000 citizens of the Donetsk People's Republic have cast their votes in Russia since the start of voting in the referendum, with a percentage of more than 55 percent of the citizens of the republic.
Makeeva indicated that about a thousand people who participated in the referendum voted in the embassy, noting that 20 polling stations were organized in Moscow.
Voting in the referendum on the accession of the republics of Lugansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to Russia began yesterday morning and is scheduled to continue until September 27.
