Frenchman Johann Zarco (Ducati-Pramac), 2nd in the World Championship, took pole position on Saturday and will start in front of his compatriot and MotoGP leader Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) at the German Grand Prix, Sunday for the 8th round of the 'year.
It is the 6th pole in the premier class and the first this season for Zarco, who set the best time before falling in a spectacular but not serious way.
Spaniard Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia) will complete the first row on Sunday at the start at 2:00 p.m.
