Motogp Catalonia: Morbidelli lightning, dominates free practice

Franco Morbidelli dominated Friday free practice in view of the Catalan GP which will take place on Sunday on the Montmelò circuit.

But for the Italian riders this is the only good news coming from the Catalan circuit, because the other Italians on the track went like this, also thanks to a certain difficulty of the Ducatis.

    In fact, the combined classification between the first and second free practices, if on the one hand sees the Roman rider of Yamaha Petronas soar above all with the best time (1: 39.789 achieved in the afternoon), on the other hand sees Valentino Rossi just in tenth place ( staccato of 713 thousandths after being 8 / o and 9 / o in the two sessions).

Worse still the leader of the world rankings, Andrea Dovizioso, who is 15 / o (1 "072 behind) and Francesco Bagnaia twentieth (at 1" 548), while Danilo Petrucci is still behind, with 22 / o time (at 2 " "270).

    It was just practice, of course, and some riders, especially Dovizioso, worked for a long time on the tires rather than in search of the fastest lap, but the timing was definitely not encouraging and tomorrow morning there will be work on the tires too.

In any case, it should be noted that Dovizioso, busy on Sunday with the Desmosedici to defend the lead in the general classification, in the first free practice had scored an excellent second time, behind the French Quartararo.

But in the afternoon they both suffered, and found themselves in the rear.
