Munich - The Archbishop of Munich, Cardinal Reinhard Marx, was infected with Corona despite a complete vaccination.
The archbishop's office announced on Monday in Munich that he had mild symptoms and was in domestic isolation.
The 68-year-old canceled attendance appointments.
The Archbishop of Munich and Freising wanted to celebrate a service this week as part of the Bundestag Caritas Conference in Germany.
During the traditional youth basket pilgrimage on Saturday, a pontifical mass in the Freising Mariendom was planned with the 68-year-old.

Marx was challenged in 2021: A few months ago, against the background of the scandal involving a thousandfold sexual abuse in the Catholic Church, he offered to resign.
The letter of resignation of May 21st, however, was rejected by Pope Francis.
Cardinal Marx uses his office to deal with cases of violence in Catholic children's homes.
“Can we imagine Jesus beating children?

And yet it has happened in our facilities too, ”he said, condemning cases of abuse in the church.
