How do you feel after a tenth victory in Rome?
Rafael Nadal
: Great satisfaction, of course, it's fabulous to still have this trophy with me, once again.
After reaching ten titles at Roland Garros, ten in Monte Carlo, ten in Barcelona, I really wanted this one.
It's a super important tournament for me.
I've been through a lot during this week: great times, a bit of luck, times of pain, but at the end of the day I think I delivered solid tennis.
What happened in the second set of the final, with a slump?
There is always a bit of everything in these kinds of matches. You're playing against one of the best players (in the world) and it's okay to suffer, right? I felt better than him at the end of the first set, then at the start of the second. But then I didn't convert my opportunities on his first two serves, and then I had a terrible game ... again because of the wind, and we ended up at 4-1. I lost some concentration. I had to get back to my state of mind from the first set and I think I even played the third better than the first.
How do you approach Roland-Garros, your favorite tournament?
It is always a very special place for me.
Everyone knows that this is arguably the most important place in my career.
There I have to go home, I need a little rest.
I have spent a lot of hours on the court this week.
So a few days off and then we go back to work.
I think I can work on one or two things that I can improve.
I have made progress this week, I think, but I have to confirm this improvement, to be even more confident.
I have two weeks of work and I will do it.
Work and mental rest.

Djokovic: "I'm starting to feel like I want to feel on clay"
Novak Djokovic (SER, Masters 1000 finalist in Rome on Sunday)
: “I was happy to meet Nadal for Roland-Garros. There is no greater challenge than playing Rafa on clay, in the final. I am very satisfied with my fighting spirit. The level of tennis has continued to rise. Yesterday I played really well. Today, I also think I played well. The decisive moments of the first and third set turned to his advantage. Of course, I'm disappointed that I didn't win, but I'm very happy with the level of tennis I managed to find at the end of the tournament. I'm starting to feel like I want to feel on clay. I still play in Belgrade a tournament before Paris, that will give me a few more matches, and after rock n'roll in Paris! ” (in press conference)
