The Mars helicopter “Ingenuity” has apparently outdone itself on its third flight: As reported by the US space agency Nasa, it flew further and faster than in tests on Earth.
Accordingly, the helicopter reached a top speed of up to seven kilometers per hour.
He covered a distance of 50 meters.
The latest flight on Sunday went “exactly as planned”, but at the same time absolutely impressive, said “Ingenuity” project manager Dave Lavery.
The "Perseverance" lander filmed the helicopter during its 80-second mission.
