New: Volkswagen Taigo, coupe mini crossover
With compact dimensions and Volkswagen's small platform, but with a stylish "coupe" design, the Taigo will try to add some color and style to the manufacturer's crossover range.

We are used to seeing European vehicles arrive in South American markets at the end of their term, but this time, with the Taigo Volkswagen going in the opposite direction - after about a year in which it is marketed in South America under the name Nibus, the German manufacturer lands the model in the European market called the Taigo.
The Taigo will be built at the company's plant in Spain, alongside its partners in the modular MQB platform in its compact version, the A0, which is also used by the Volkswagen Polo and the T-Cross.

The Taigo, with dimensions of 427 cm in length, width of 176 cm, height of 149 cm and a wheelbase of 257 cm will be Volkswagen’s answer to tools like the Opel Moka, Nissan Juke, Ford Puma and others.
The trunk volume does not absorb significant damage relative to the square-tailed fireplace and offers 438 liters compared to a maximum of 455 liters in the T-Cross.
The exterior design is similar to that of the "regular" fireplace but gets a few slight twists to add what the designers call "dynamics" and of course the most noticeable difference - the back where the roof slopes down to create a more sporty look.

In the cabin it rests on the base we know from the Polo and T-Cross, but gets the latest look from the manufacturer, with a 10.25-inch digital dashboard and a multimedia system (ranging from 6.5 to 9.2-inches depending on the level of finish) and air-conditioning based solely on Touch buttons.
We did not like it in the new Golf, and probably here too the situation will not be particularly different.

The propulsion units will continue to be based on existing ones, i.e. 1.0-liter 3-cylinder engines with 95 or 110 hp and a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 150 hp.
It will be offered only with front-wheel drive and manual gearboxes arranged marriage with five or six-speed (versions 95 and -110 kW respectively) and dual-clutch gearbox more powerful engine.
Safety systems include peripheral sensors, warning failure with distancing automatic braking, Lane departure correction and adaptive cruise control and other safety features will be available depending on the model's instrumentation packages.
