Third season for Nuovi Eroi, the original format produced by Stand by Me and Rai3 with the precious collaboration of the Quirinale, broadcast starting from 10 May, from Monday to Friday at 20.20 on Rai3. Thirty unpublished episodes to tell as many extraordinary stories of Italian citizens awarded by the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella with the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, as representative of the highest expression of the values that define the Nation, its civil commitment and strong sense of community. Among them, also the "heroes of Covid", that is the citizens who, with different roles, professions and geographical origin, have particularly distinguished themselves in the service to the community during the Coronavirus emergency. Wednesday 12 May - Antonio Iacono is a precarious science teacher who during the first pandemic emergency continued to give video lessons to the students of the Telese Institute of Ischia, despite being hospitalized for Covid at Rizzoli di Lacco Ameno.

Thursday 13 May - Giacomo Perini is 24 years old.
His leg was amputated due to the consequences of an osteosarcoma.
He is enrolled in the Faculty of Political Sciences in Rome, as well as practicing swimming and rowing at a competitive level with the Paralympic National Team.
At the same time he is committed to raising awareness among the new generations, creating moments of encounter and comparison with students.
Friday 14 May - Maria Rita Pitoni lives in Rieti, where she works as a school director. Long-time Red Cross nurse, she was called to run the all-inclusive institute of Amatrice after the devastating earthquake of 2016. She performed a valuable coordination activity on the territory.
