Munich - Something is happening in the traditional restaurant “Zum Spöckmeier” not far from Marienplatz: While the renovation work is in progress inside, the takeover by the Schörghuber family becomes more concrete.

The Oktoberfest landlady Arabella Schörghuber never made a secret of her desire to take over the restaurant and revitalize it.
Now the family announces that the negotiations with the landlady, Bayerische Hausbau, are about to be concluded.
The building from 1972 is in need of renovation and work is already underway.
The reopening is to be celebrated here at the end of the year.
The new hosts then start as a trio.
In addition to daughter Ramona, son Alexander (21) also joins the management.
The inn should also get a modern touch.
“Bavarian, but cosmopolitan”, says landlady Arabella.
Ramona also provides a breath of fresh air.
The 23-year-old has gained her first experience as a landlady in the Grünwalder Einkehr and is looking forward to a Munich inn that “fits in with today's times”, as she says.
Munich-Grünwald: The days of the Grünwalder Einkehr seem numbered
The days of the Grünwalder Einkehr, however, which the family sold last year, seem numbered.
Here in a premium location on the Isar high bank, a Munich * investor is planning 14 presumably high-priced apartments in three buildings.
The project met with local resistance.
"I have nothing against modern houses," says Grünwald's mayor Jan Neusiedl (CSU) of our newspaper.
But the three "closed bunkers" would have a massive impact on the entrance to the town.
“With the square, the listed chapel opposite and the chestnuts - that's something unique.” And in order to preserve that, the local council has now unanimously approved a development plan with a simultaneous ban on changes.
"This means that the existing building as such is secured for the time being." The Grünwalder Einkehr itself is not a listed building.
It remains to be seen to what extent the investor and the community can find a compromise.
The former owners Arabella Schörghuber and daughter Ramona leave the restaurant with a laughing and a crying eye.
"It was a great time.
But now new tasks are waiting for us.
We hope to meet our regular guests again at Spöckmeier. ”
