New York City plans to launch a program that offers tourists immunization against COVID-19,
giving them the
Johnson & Johnson
vaccine
for
free
, according to Mayor Bill de Blasio.
"It is a positive message for tourists.
Coming here is safe
, we are going to take care of you," De Blasio said, "we are going to make sure you get vaccinated while you are here with us."
The mayor explained that he works hand in hand with the governor, Andrew Cuomo, to
get the green light
.
The plan consists of
placing mobile vaccination posts
in places and very tourist attractions in the city, such as the Empire State Building, Times Square, the Brooklyn Bridge or Central Park, among others, according to NBC News.

," said De Blasio, who also reported that nearly seven million vaccines against COVID-19 have been administered so far.
