2021-09-23T19:36:54.365Z

The seventh day of Ligue 1, Wednesday, was marked by a new invasion of ground on the lawn of Angers, the third since

It is an image that is sadly taking root in the landscape of Ligue 1 this season.

In seven days, the championship faced three invasions of the ground, which came to spoil or even end the meetings.

The Angers stadium was the scene of a new overflow, this Wednesday, September 22.

The final whistle has just been given, with a draw from 0 to 0. Angevins and Marseillais are preparing to return quietly to the locker room, but, among the supporters, the spirits are heating up. Projectiles are launched on both sides, without being able to establish which camp started. "Firecrackers were sent from the Angevin side towards the Marseillais, who replied (...) It is a classic and stupid scheme, but I do not want to accuse anyone," said Jacques Cardoze, the communications director of OM .

Supporters of the club even evoke an "agricultural bomb thrown in the Marseille park", in the "Phocéen".

Despite the presence of the stewards, the Marseillais entered the lawn, followed by a few Angevins.

"Guys, we stay quiet", tries to appease the announcer.

But the evening ended in exchanges of blows between the two camps, until the police ensure the return to calm.

“It's a collective responsibility, there isn't a stadium, a team.

We can see that it begins to stain oil.

Everyone must be responsible for this.

People have to be responsible.

We have been deprived of football for 15 months and people are not smart enough to tell themselves that we are coming to see football, just football.

I especially feel great sadness.

This is not acceptable, ”lamented Cardoze.

In the pages of Ouest-France, the SCO announced the opening of an investigation by the prosecution.

“You are never 100% sure of what is going on.

From what we have noted, on our side, we do not feel that we have committed a fault, nor that the spark has come from us, ”explained Xavier Thuilot, deputy general manager of the Angevin club.

Lens-Lille, the derby spoiled

Exceptionally, a disciplinary committee will be held this Thursday evening. The last special meeting wasn't that long ago. To Monday, September 20, more precisely, to deal with the incidents that occurred on September 18 between Lens and Lille, in the context of a hot North derby. This time, the overflows took place at half-time, while the players and staff were still in the locker room. Several Lensois have left the Marek stand, heading for the Lille parking lot, to do battle. For their part, Lille were already in the midst of a clash with the neighboring stand. Seats flew, around 80.

The match resumed almost half an hour after the initially scheduled time, and saw Lens win 1-0.

“It's always annoying when, in a football stadium, supporters come to blows.

They too have an example to give, because there are children in football stadiums, ”explained Jean-Louis Leca, the goalkeeper of Racing Club de Lens.

The image of a young supporter, his head slashed after receiving a piece of a seat, circulated on social networks.

In all, six people were injured, and two individuals were arrested during the derby.

Dimitri Payet is about to take a corner, he receives violently a bottle in the back from the stand of the Nice kop. This is not the first of the match. Payet sends the projectile back in the direction of the Ultras. A hundred supporters of the Rouge et Noir manage to cross the safety net. A general melee ensued, where fights broke out between supporters, players and some members of the Marseille staff.

The match is interrupted.

The players return to the locker rooms.

The Phocaeans will not come out any more.

"We decided for the safety of our players, who were attacked during the invasion of the field, not to resume the match because the safety of our players was not guaranteed", testifies Pablo Longoria in a video.
