The accident occurred in the popular district of Opebi Ikeja, in the north of the megalopolis, located less than five kilometers from Lagos International Airport.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (Lasema) confirmed this accident, specifying in a statement that of the three people on board, " one is currently being treated in intensive care (...) while the other two were killed instantly ”.

The destination and provenance of the helicopter were unknown at this point, but the spokesperson for the Accident Investigation Bureau told AFP that his teams were on their way to the scene.
