"My father was the one who got the threatening calls. They wanted the case closed but he did not agree. Then the threats began that they would kidnap him and kill him. They identified themselves as being from the Berland chastity guards," Meyer told us.
In a conversation he had a few years ago with the main suspect who has now been arrested, the latter told him that Nissim was buried in the Eshtaol Forest.
"If they find the place of the first burial, it will be possible to extract DNA and we can sit on it for seven."

Sheetrit added that the family did not recover from the blow that fell on them.
"My father did not digest the fact that he did not return. Everyone who knocked on the door he jumped to see if it was the lost son who returned. He could not stand it and a year and four months later he had a heart attack. That we can close the circle. "
The investigation is being conducted at the central unit of the Jerusalem Police, which is investigating the disappearance of 17-year-old Nissim Sheetrit and the murder of Avi Edri, who served as a taxi driver and maintenance man at the Shuvu Banim yeshiva in Jerusalem.

Sheetrit, a resident of Jerusalem and a yeshiva student in Ashdod, disappeared in January 1986 and was last seen traveling in the car of a man named Mike, whom he had first met a week earlier.
A few months before he disappeared, he complained to the police that he had been abducted and severely beaten by the chastity guards of his return boys, after being accused of having relationships with girls.
Sheetrit pointed to one of his attackers and it was arrested and questioned, but since the police had no well-founded evidence against him, he was released.
The main suspect, who has now been arrested, was previously questioned in open testimony on suspicion of involvement in Sheetrit's disappearance, but his investigation did not mature into evidence sufficient for his arrest and he was released.
So he is not suspected of involvement in the second murder, of Avi Edri, but this time, he is suspected of involvement in the two murders.
Edri's murder occurred in 1990.
The body of Edri, 41, was found in the Ramot forest with severe signs of violence.
He was murdered after going out with his wife.
Even then, the police estimated that he had been murdered by the chastity guards who suspected him of having contact with married ultra-Orthodox women.
The police arrested three people arrested for murder, conspiracy and kidnapping.
The main suspect is attributed to the murder of Edri and Sheetrit, and the other two are suspected of conspiracy and kidnapping.
