One transfer after the other: FC Bayern Munich signs another top talent.

He comes from South Korea and has already played games for the second team.

Munich – Sports director Hasan Salihamidzic, his technical director Marco Neppe and the staff of the scouting department obviously still have no time to lose in this summer transfer period.

The German Bundesliga record champion announced the commitment of the next top talent.

Hyunju Lee: FC Bayern commits South Korean top talent

Specifically: The 19-year-old South Korean Hyunju Lee is committed.

FC Bayern had already loaned the attacking midfielder from the South Korean first division club FC Pohang Steelers in January – for a year with an option to buy.

Bayern now took that option early.

Lee receives a contract at Säbener Strasse in Munich until June 2025.

Campus manager Jochen Sauer explained in a club announcement on the club website: "Lee made a very good impression on us in the good six months.

We are convinced of him in terms of sport and have therefore decided to sign him firmly early on.”

Holger Seitz, sporting director at the Bayern Campus, said about the transfer: "Lee is a good dribbling and very agile player who is also very dangerous in goals.

We are very pleased that we have now been able to sign him on a permanent basis and are very excited about his further development with our amateurs.”

Lee has played once for the Bundesliga giants' U19s since the beginning of the year.

Last season, the South Korean junior international also made six appearances (one goal and one assist) in the second team, which competes in the fourth-tier Regionalliga Bayern.

In the spring, a hand injury slowed him down for several weeks.

At the start of the new regional league season, Lee scored two goals against VfB Eichstätt (4-0) in the playmaker position behind the top.

In the surprising defeat of the "Reserve" at SpVgg Ansbach (0:2) he remained goalless.

In the three games that followed, the young attacker had to pass because of a cold.

On Saturday he is expected back in the squad for the S-Bahn derby at leaders SpVgg Unterhaching (2 p.m.).

In the club's announcement on his firm commitment, Lee is quoted as saying: "I am very happy to have signed a new contract and to continue my path at FC Bayern.

I want to continue to do everything in the season to be successful with the team."
