Despite bans on entry: Police have distanced 9 involved in brawl before the Tel Aviv derby | Israeli soccer

Four months after the February derby and two days before their match on Saturday, police investigated nine involved in a brawl between Hapoel and Maccabi Tel Aviv fans • The penalty: 60-day exclusion • It's a punishment with no deterrence, because in any case, the football fields cannot be entered because of the Corona epidemic restrictions

Four months after the previous Tel Aviv derby and two days before the derby on Saturday, police announced Thursday that they had arrested nine suspects - fans of both groups - on suspicion of involvement in the mass brawl at the Paz Ben-Zvi gas station just before the derby in February and causing major damage to the scene.

The suspects were brought in yesterday and today for questioning and eventually released to their homes under restrictive conditions. Also, the nine have been removed from the courts for 60 days, although there is no reason for the sentence in question, given that fans cannot in any case enter the courts these days because of the Corona epidemic, and of course this is not a deterrent.
