For the residents in Urfeld there will be restrictions on Friday night: modernization work will be carried out on the water supply.

- The water supply in the Urfeld district of the municipality of Kochel am See is interrupted in the night of Friday, June 18, from 10 p.m.
According to a communiqué from the municipality, this measure is necessary because of urgent modernization work.
On behalf of the municipality, a specialist company will install new control and regulation technology and completely renew the remote transmission of the operating status of the elevated tank.
Since the elevated tank has to be emptied for this and the water supply has to be interrupted for a few hours, the work was postponed to the night in order to influence the water consumers as little as possible.
The work should be completed in the early hours of the morning.
Then the water supply should be available again.
The users in Urfeld are asked not to use any faucets, taps or flush toilets after 10 p.m.
On Friday morning, the taps and other shut-off devices should be opened carefully.
Since, according to the press release, air bubbles in the pipe system cannot be avoided, experience has shown that it will take some time before the uninterrupted supply is also available on higher floors.
Possible discolorations are only temporary.
The municipality recommends cleaning the backwashing devices and aerators afterwards.
