The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced the winners of this year's Nobel Prize in Chemistry in Stockholm: It goes to Carolyn R. Bertozzi, Morten Meldal and K. Barry Sharpless.

They are honored for their discoveries in the field of molecule production.

They are also recognized for the development of bioorthogonal chemistry.

It is used to study biomolecules in their natural environment.
