Borussia Mönchengladbach and FC Augsburg need new coaches.

After the end of the 34th Bundesliga match day, Adi Hütter and Markus Weinzierl commented.

Freiburg scrapes past the Champions League, in the table basement VfB Stuttgart was able to secure the ticket for the next season in the upper house with a goal in the final phase.

Borussia Mönchengladbach and Adi Hütter go their separate ways

Adi Hütter, coach of Borussia Mönchengladbach, said in front of the TV cameras in Borussia Park: "Today was my last game.

We mutually agreed on this," the Austrian told

after the 5-1 win over TSG Hoffenheim .

This was preceded by intensive discussions with those responsible for the club. 

There had already been media reports about an impending separation with the man who came from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer of 2021.

With him, the "foals" had quite clearly missed the entry into the European Cup.

Sports director Roland Virkus had already avoided a clear commitment before the game against 1899: "Our task now is to draw conclusions from the work-up of the season and to initiate the appropriate measures," he explained.

FC Augsburg: Weinzierl announces his resignation - Reuter is surprised

There is also a change of coach at FC Augsburg: Shortly after the final whistle of the 2-1 home defeat to SpVgg Greuther Fürth, Markus Weinzierl informed the players about his resignation and then publicly announced his departure via Sky.

Stefan Reuter was then irritated and took his own position: "It came as a great surprise to me," said the FCA manager.

The ex-national player pointed out that he had made an appointment with the coach to sit down next week and talk about the future.

There is no timetable for finding a coach.

"We'll sit down and find the right coach for FC Augsburg," said Reuter.

When asked if he would still be with FC Augsburg after the summer, the 55-year-old replied: "You can assume that."
