Offices, factories and stores are converting to energy sobriety

DECRYPTION - Companies are firing on all cylinders to reduce their energy consumption without harm this winter. Soaring prices are forcing some to stop production.

It is Air France's choice.

The airline offers its employees to work from home three days a week, which allows the head office to be closed every Friday.

Since the government asked companies to convert to sobriety, working groups (industry, supermarkets, housing, digital and telecommunications, transport, etc.) have developed roadmaps to reduce energy consumption.

The most widespread measures relate to heating and lighting.

Retailers promised to lower the temperature in stores by one degree, close exterior doors when the heating is on and turn off illuminated signs when the store is closed.

The luxury giant LVMH is committed to turning off the lighting in its shops and offices between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Thales will do the same from 9 p.m. for its offices…
