Official British data revealed that the number of people infected with the mutated Indian “delta” strain of the Corona virus rose to 75,953, representing 99 percent of the total infections in Britain.
Data issued by the British Department of Public Health and published by the Guardian newspaper indicated that cases of the delta mutant rose by 33,630 during the past week alone.
The data indicated that “Delta” is more likely to spread than the British mutant of corona called “Alpha” by 60%, and it is also more resistant to anti-virus vaccines.
According to the Guardian newspaper, the outbreak of the mutant Delta coincided with the easing of restrictions related to combating the virus in Britain during the past weeks.
