New York-Sana
Oil prices rose today after recovering from their initial losses supported by encouraging numbers on gasoline demand.
Reuters reported that Brent crude contracts ended the trading session, up $1.09, or 1.1 percent, to settle at $97.40 a barrel.
US benchmark West Texas Intermediate crude contracts closed up $1.43, or 1.6 percent, to $91.93 a barrel.
Gasoline stocks fell sharply as demand rose after weeks of lackluster activity during what is supposed to be the peak of the summer driving season.
