The Olching Urban Development Committee has voted with a narrow majority in favor of banning stone deserts and gravel gardens by statute.

Olching - Undeveloped areas on plots that do not serve as parking spaces and are not subject to any other building regulations should be planted with greenery.

"We do not make any better decisions than the state parliament," declared Bauer.

And who controls?

The problem is implementation.

"Ms. Kulosa from the building authority will not be able to walk around and check." In other words: You can always regulate more, but for that reason alone nobody adheres to them.

He also warned of a "educational dictatorship" that would gradually lead to China.

"In the end everyone gets a bonus point for a tree."

Josef Gigl from the Free Voters Olching saw that too.

He was also against rock gardens.

“You should still give people the freedom to do what they do with their green spaces.” In addition, you don't have to regulate everything, you can rely on people's common sense.

The city council decides whether the statutes, which only apply to new buildings, come into force.
