Aside from sport, the story of Belarusian sprinter Krystsina Tsimanouskaya caused a stir on Sunday.
The 24-year-old was apparently supposed to be sent back to Belarus against her will - probably because she had criticized sports officials in her country.
Tennis pro Alexander Zverev fell to his knees and put his hands over his face.
A few moments earlier, he had beaten the Russian Kharen Khachanov in a hurry and won Olympic gold in the men's singles - as the first German ever.

In her home country, TV viewers almost didn't see it.

Tsimanouskaya resisted the involuntary departure from Japan and sought protection from the Japanese police at Tokyo's Haneda Airport. Apparently she wants to apply for asylum. She also asked the IOC to get involved.
A message from the Belarusian Olympic Committee on Telegram said that the runner had been examined by a doctor and would not take part in any further competitions because of her "emotional and psychological state".
On her Instagram account, Tsimanouskaya described this representation as a "lie".
Bolt, Bolt, Bolt, Jacobs
For years Usain Bolt shaped the races over 100 meters, meanwhile the Jamaican superstar is in sprint retirement.
His successor is the Italian Lamont Marcell Jacobs.
With a European record of 9.80 seconds, he relegated the Americans Fred Kerley (9.84) and Andre de Grasse from Canada (9.89) to second and third place.
Zverev's greatest triumph
