Czech Marketa Vondrousova (42nd) will face Swiss Belinda Bencic in the final of the tennis tournament at the Tokyo Olympics.
Already falling for the big favorite Naomi Osaka in 8th, Vondrousova on Thursday eliminated the world No. 6, the Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, 6-3, 6-1.
As against the world No. 2, the Czech did not make quarters, taking just over an hour (1:05) to beat the highest ranked player still in contention.
Svitolina and Rybakina will face off for bronze.
